I feel all sorts of sad for these closeted kids, of course, but I also love this story. It’s important to be able to look back on heteronormative institutions and see the queer reality beneath the surface. It helps to destroy the myth that things were “better” and “normal” [again, read: heteronormative] in the “good…
I agree, it was very progressive for the era. In particular, Houlihan was portrayed (as the show went on — her character started out less fully dimensional) as a genuinely strong woman and someone to be admired. Certainly Henry had great respect for her.
Especially because, if I remember correctly, MASH was *super* liberal? Does that person know who that character is?
This is fantastic. Rich gets all the cookies today. None for anyone else.
Jerry is so much better for her.

Politipets.
Please let “Good Dogs Of Famous World Leaders” be a running thing.
Okay but there is also a talking candle and a somewhat sexual talking duster and I think they are lowkey fucking so I don’t think they are going for realistic
The amount of corporate-speak boilerplate being bandied about the greys is sickening. I’m 27 in an office of ten people who are all(except me of course) 55 or older. There is no possible universe where I should be expected to humor Shirley’s 20 minute diatribe about her kid’s case of the sniffles or Chuck’s…
The greatest moment was when a student put her hand up and asked, “Can you please perform ‘O Canada?’”
LOVE the rose balm dot com, it smells so nice— not powdery or artificial (the Milky Jelly Cleanser has the same scent and I love that too!) and the super subtle hint of pink is really nice.
