“I can’t relate to what it’s like to be black, but I’m just going to go ahead and assume everyone black people are saying is nonsense and ignore their concerns.”
You are seriously underestimating what black people feel afraid of.
Really bad time for a tangent. A black man was just murdered by the police.
went without washing for a year and a half?
I prefer Goldilocks other rule. Eat some food. Find an empty bed. Take a nap.
cause she’s asian!
I would be quick to add “... and have the discipline to do it.”
Yes, we can apply it to a lot of things. “Everyone is a responsible banana eater until suddenly they aren’t.”
In the end, I’m still fairly confident for a Clinton win, but even if its 6 points, that seems WAY TOO CLOSE. The fact that 40% of America is willing to vote for this clown, even if it is just voting with their usual party, just makes me feel ill.
Completely agreed. It almost feels like foreshadowing. When Obama said he believed the American people knew better (in so many words) than to vote for him, that was my Rains of Castamere playing at the Red Wedding moment.
My problem is that without the buttons is that I always hit a hyperlink and it takes me places I don’t want to be. I don’t know why you cannot disable this feature.
Same. It’s the biggest thing I miss about my old Kindle Keyboard. Don’t get me wrong, I love my new Paperwhite, but the bezels (bevels? frame?) are just slightly too narrow to comfortably rest my thumb on without brushing the screen and inadvertenty opening up a menu or turning the page.
Yes (note that the study was out of the UK, but Forbes notes that the numbers are similar in the US).
i need to share a small victory and this seems like the place to do it. i am 32 year old working lady with a toddler. a few months ago, i turned down an offer which would have been a step up and a raise, because it demanded a lot of hours beyond regular office, and i just couldn’t sacrifice that time with my child. at…
The Kindle Voyage model has side page turning buttons with haptic feedback. It’s nice, but I do miss the actual push in buttons.
I wish there was a backlit with buttons option available for a reasonable price. I gave away my buttoned version when I got the backlit, and I admittedly read considerably less because I hate the touchscreen.
I’m a librarian, and I approve this comment. If you are worried about purchasing licenses for your books rather than a physical item that is your to keep and redistribute as you please, your local library is here to help. Most (if not all) libraries have services that will allow you to check out digital licenses for…
Same here. I dinged the screen of my 4th Gen and am currently refurbing a never-used 3rd Gen as a replacement because PPI be damned, I like my buttons.
