Anakin gets a taste of the dark side...
I remember people complaining about how this arc didn’t seem to do anything to move the story towards Episode 3. Now here’s your link to Episode 3. Shifting the focus to Anakin right at that part was masterfully done. By suddenly focusing on him, after keeping the clones front and center for the most part, you get…
I don’t think Anakin was “compromising” so much as reacting to Trench trying to kill him. It was pretty clearly self-defense. Even cutting off his arms was warranted, considering those had all sorts of hidden weapons Trench had literally just tried to use against him.
“I don’t have such weaknesses!”
Well, to be fair, Trench was about to destroy a planet and then kill Anakin.
I love how the show (and other cartoons) justify that kind of violence.
Slaughter countless robots? oh that’s cool. Kill a giant spider? totally cool. Lob off a humanoid’s arm? woah. hey now. wait. just once or twice a movie and only if it’s pg-13.
“Tell me the sequence to disarm the bomb.”
Just finished watching it. Fantastic cap to this arc, and to Echo’s story. I do find myself curious though - do we think that the cybernetic surgery Echo has had could haev impacted/replaced the chipswe now know the Clone Troopers have to facilitate Order 66? And do we think that the Bad Batch, being non - standard…
On the flip side, this thing spurred me to write a quick & cheesy short story about love in the time of corvid, which will have no economic impact on anyone at all but was fun to write.
“Like, listen. I get the idea is to make this thing look giant on camera, paint it some cool colors and have it be all intimidating, but why not just quit the whole move thing and sell this one as a pet?”
What makes their insanity “farther left”, exactly? I really don’t see PETA as being on some consistent spectrum, but farther left. They are more like a dot on a 3-dimensional plane off mostly by itself in a place the rest of us don’t go.
PETA is an organization that lost its way and now with the game, it will lose a truck load of money because when the commercial comes on, most of the viewing audience will be eating wings and laugh.
I respect that take.
It annoys me that people bring up about Luke’s crack in TRoS about treating a Jedi’s weapon with more respect, refuting his actions in the beginning of TLJ.
Hell Yeah!
I feel like this show hasn’t gotten the attention it deserves. One of the most hilarious things on right now.
The reason was there was a planet in orbit around the star that was rich in Dilithium that caused the explosion to go trans-warp. It’s a pretty lame excuse but it’s consistent in universe.
Damn it - my first image didn’t come through.
