This is potentially the only Highlander reboot/sequel I’d ever consider appropriate.

I agree with you in spirit, I would posit a slight correction. Goku cares that no harm comes to people, especially his loved ones. It’s been shown over and over again that he’s concerned for the well being of others, in the general sense. He’s just... really... REALLY bad at gauging when a situation is going to spill

But that’s not remotely true at all, and one only needs to actually watch OG DB and Dragon Ball Z to know that, while yeah, Goku loves fighting, it’s nowhere near the selfishness portrayed in Super.

I think the whole “I never meant Goku to be Superman” (even though DragonBall Minus outright lifts Superman’s origin

Goku from way, way back in Dragon Ball has -always- been about the fight. He and Ryu are the same in a lot of ways and towards the end of Super, he points out that he never sees himself or wants to be some hero of justice, that his driving force it to always become stronger and stronger.

Might Won’t You Be My Neighbor? have been hurt by none of the non-American voters caring at all about Mr. Rogers? I don’t know how big a segment of the voters that is.

From Tombstone to The Ranch he looks the same. He must be a Highlander.

Whichever Hulk movie he was in.

Oh yes. And it still has one of the best movie interpretations of someone learning a different language. Watching those scenes are still unforgettable to me.

When an actor can out mustache Tom Selleck he should automatically get an Oscar.

“So then I told Donkey, ‘Look DK, you don’t have to choose between Pauline and Candy. Just make sure they both know about each other and everything should be fine. And if that mustached bastard gives you any trouble, just drop a few flaming barrels on him.’”

Bruce Campbell in his autobiography talks about how filming Congo was basically a fully paid vacation for him, since he filmed so few and brief scenes (but they needed him at all the various locations). So I can’t begrudge the movie just on that level. I liked the book better though.

I don’t know how Alex can be the same person without these memories? How can she be the part of DEO that stops it going full anti-alien without those memories? She joined to protect Kara. She believes aliens shouldn’t be treated the way Haley wants because of Kara. Kara is who stopped Alex from getting to close to

Completely dreadful.

I didn’t care for the Shamrock Society twist, so I was glad to see the final twist happen even if you make some good points about its believability (it just looks like two really strong guys throwing down in a parking lot).

The only head canon I have for the Kevin’s father twist is that it’s not that Kevin doesn’t know, it’s that The Beast doesn’t know. So when The Beast finds out, he sees it as a revelation going against his promise to keep Kevin safe.

"Mr. Iziz! The sulfur dioxide count is now in excess of 15 parts per million. It is strongly recommended you return to the work armor for your safety!"

"Oh for crying... look Uthra'k, we've been over this a hundred times! That little beeping noise the parking alert makes is there for a REASON. Do you have any idea how many sub-deck engineers you just turned into paste?!"

I for one will not be bowing down to our Alien Overlords. I will fight them on the beaches. I will fight them in the air. I will fight them where the Sun don't shine.*

Slater jumped out of the mech, the second it crested the ridge. He had to see this through his own eyes, he couldn't trust the full spectrum sensor arrays. Ahead, laid the fiery ruins of so many cherished memories. He grown up on those mean streets, fought, loved, and lived among the urban sprawl. Now his home,
