Thank you for the response! I thought he was calling 9-1-1, but the “operator” was being way too cool for that to be the case.
Huh. I am having the polar opposite experience. Well, not quite — Anna was never my favorite character in the books, but I have found Mitchell’s portrayal of her tepid and utterly lacking in nuance. Which is rare for this show, in my estimation. With the exception of a slightly miscast Prax, I feel like they’ve done a…
How is screaming “GUN!” and “HELP!” not equivalent to unprotected speech inciting violence? All things being perfect (hah, America), if Ochoa was harmed or threatened in any way by a third party due to her baseless screeching, she’s liable for that.

This whole series of events is altogether unsurprising, as people from Anthem are generally insufferable, entitled fuckfits.
I know of a lot of guys who went into law enforcement after being discharged from the Marine Corps with me. Given the accessibility and generosity of the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill, it should not be that difficult to attain your degree and then move into that job field, but some people simply don’t want to do it.
To my knowledge, some police departments do employ psychological screening in the initial interview phase. However, maybe in an effort to increase recruitment or just because it’s a good ol’ boys club, applicants are given multiple attempts to pass and are often coached so they know the right answers next time.
