Same thing with the Green Bay area news outlet. At least there wasn't that kind of caption. Yikes.

It's racism. Pure racism. At that time, and probably still now, the majority of non-whites lived in the Milwaukee/Racine area. The polar opposite of Madison which is not too far away. Above the Green Bay to Eau Claire line, population is very sparse.

I read the article and I'll read comments more thoroughly later but I'm loathe to do it. I was just wondering how much of the story has come out so far. Even if I wanted to watch I don't have cable.

Cows. Not a lot of sheep farms here but sheep tied into sweaters and knitting and I suppose Wisconsin sounded the funniest. Or stupidest.

I didn't like the reset either, especially with the ending suggesting the whole thing might have been a dream.

And the damn christmas music.

I've been thinking a bit this morning about how Morrisonesque the free form lyrics were. He, too, never felt quite at home.

For quite a while I kept a list of 10 common wrong diagnoses on my refrigerator.

No shit, Trump is almost the ultimate Colbert satirical persona sans intelligence.

There were, and probably still are, conservatives who believed Colbert's conservative on air persona. I don't think he's cowtowing to anyone. It's a ton of fun to wonder what he's doing but the counter raffle gives us a great clue.

Few things are as graphic as Dick Trickle but there's a Dick Butthurst that comments in my area.

Let's remember that those first generation of CD's were truly awful, most of which got remastered later. Then they were shared on 128 mbps and sounded worse. That's why records often sound better, maybe it's just how I remember them but I can hear the missing bits. It was a pretty crappy product but boy it was cool

That reminds me of why I joined Gevalia for the free coffee maker and they ignored my instructions not to send me anymore. I got to keep $50 free coffee, good stuff really, by the customer service guy who just sighed hating life. I did pay for the BMG discs though, I kept rejoining so I think I made out ok.

We still have a neighborhood video store, they've partnered with a pizza place. Great memories of renting movies and video games while raising my kid in that era. What's funny is Family Video had a curtained back room where you could look for adult stuff.

I loved the stamps you would stick on the postcard to order. I'd take the best ones out and randomly glue them places.

I think all of my boxes sets were great dels from Big Meaty Guy - yes, I called it that back in the day.

The final time I ever walked into one I needed an ethernet cable right away and there was nobody in the place but I still had to ask for help. The guy tried to sell me a landline cable. I had to explain the difference and also why the only needle nose pliers in the whole rack would work best if they were less bent

I'm old enough to go through the MP3 player phase, I don't think we've discussed that a lot yet. I avoid the Apple Empire, I had a Creative Zen and now I can keep it in the car, fully loaded and not worry if someone takes it. I love it how people can keep CD's in their car and nobody cares about taking them anymore.

I agree but some people are arguing that 128 is just fine. Not.

I was that kid but I wasn't cool. I would take my chances pulling things out of the new release or import bin at Freedom Records for 5.99; 7.99 if they were imports. That's how I discovered the first imported U2, the first REM, The Residents, Wire 154, the first several Cure albums, Sxiousie and the Banshees, I
