“One challenges players to play for at least an hour on 100 different days and give 20 resources to in-game allied forces at control point locations each time. Another rewards players if they play the game 14 days per month for 12 months, another for playing for at least an hour 30 days in a row. A Commendation called

There are fewer better poster children for shitty automation than self-checkout. I have literally never, as in not one single time, successfully completed a checkout at a self-service station in a grocery store without having to call a human employee over. And it’s not because I’m an idiot. Or not entirely, anyway.

All i wanted was co-op version of the single player mode. Let me or my friends take over as one of the other gang members.

They have no incentive to make it good only to push cards.”

I mean, it has been working for WoW for how many years (and other MMOs before that). And games some games like Fortnite and presumably Apex seem to be handling it in a way that doesn’t completely piss everyone off.

You’d think they had learned from GTA Online.

Have you heard about “fuck you money”? I have so much money I can afford to daily drive this exotic car and treat it like I would my civic - like shit. I can take the consequences of that and still be ok. Makes more sense now? :)

That’s a man who has his priorities in proper alignment.

They never said it was more rigid than older cars, they said it was more rigid than if the crease wasn't there. I'd bet they started showing up when they started really going after efficiency, and going after thinner sheet metal for the weight. Thicker metal didn't need it, thinner metal does.

The darkness in hearts thing is all western canon. if you’re going by silent hill 2, all those people being tortured are actual murderers. I won’t hold that totally against downpour if I just consider it it’s own thing.

Downpour is definitely the best of the american made silent hills, but man is it full of problems. The actual gameplay is kind of a cluster-****. So many accidentally thrown weapons, hard crashes, fps slowdnown, etc.

Well, we all have our different tastes, so what you like is what you like, but I can’t see it. I thought Homecoming missed the mark so hard, it wasn’t even funny. It wasn’t even inspired by the same type of horror that inspired the rest of the series and it felt like their only knowledge of Silent Hill came from

Same mostly. I was on board til Homecoming. That game was just the God damn worst. Was pretty unhappy with it after a few hours. Ended up getting stuck on a terrible action sequence and at that point I said fuck this.

For me TEW is more sci-fi, due to the mind experiments and such. I wish the horror was more abstract and vague. That’s what I loved about the Silent Hills games. Although I will have to give the gameplay nod to TEW over SH. SH felt a bit sloppy in that department to me.

They already made a better game of making you the monster and it was the best Silent Hill game, it was Silent Hill 2.

I miss the persistent dread of the Silent Hill games. It was never in-your-face. It just sort of crept up on you, until you realized how utterly terrified you were, and had to put the game down for a while. Silent Hill 2 and 3 were pivotal, emotional experiences for me, stumbled upon in high school. Half the reason I

Downpour is the only Silent Hill title I’ve never played, primarily because by the time it came out I was so burned by Origins, Shattered Memories, and the truly awful Homecoming that I couldn’t be bothered to watch the series be butchered any further (I came around on Shattered Memories later on).

I’ve still got my

It feels like the successor to Silent Hill at this current time should be The Evil Within, as that is also a series focusing on character traumas populating the big bads of the world. That game plays more like Resident Evil 4-6 though which sort of runs counter to the psychological thriller bits.

Ah yes, the classic germ vector that is... the back of your head. Chill out.

“On the margins” at 90k a year? The hell.
