I don't know if it is that scripted. If it was wouldn't they try and come off less poorly?

I have a profitable restaurant in London and my front of house staff get paid £8 (around $13) an hour. With their tips added on they normally take home about £14-£15 ($25) for every hour of work.

It's always nice to see that they are in the minority though.
