Dorms are a helluva racket. The college I went to required that students live in the dorms for the first 2 years of attending if they were under 21. If you lived in the dorms, it was required to pay for a meal plan as well. (You could have this waived if you were still living with your parents)
And remember some of us spent our time working intelligence, especially HUMINT and communications, and understand how to move information clandestinely.
