Rationales for voting CP:
I hear you man. Since UO here too all the way through the MMO golden ages with DAoC and all those. SWG was definitely in the top 3 greatest MMO’s of all time in its early days. I look at the MMO’s of today like Destiny and others, let out a huge sigh, and say “What the fuck happened to this genre?”
Was that after CU? Because before, you had to do a really long and obscure semi-randomized questline to unlock a Force Sensitive character slot, then you had to do another obscure semi-randomized questline on that new character to become a Jedi at all.
SWG pre-CU was the best mmo. It has so many options, classes, animations,etc’...
Absolutely! The free roaming was amazing and the community was fun. I still loved how the vendor/crafting system led to actual brands becoming a big thing. On my server you weren’t really making it unless you could afford a gun made by Enott (if I remember the spelling correctly)
Believe it or not, a long time ago, people used to do things in MMOs solely for the sake of being able to say they did it. The carrot on a stick wasn’t just a piece of loot or a shiny achievement—it was the experience. Unstructured content was king back in the day.
I’ll say it: SW:G in its first incantation was one of the *best* MMORPGs I’ve ever played, and I’ve been fortunate enough to be playing MMOs since UO: The 2nd Age.
Funny, I had this thought experiment w/ my wife yesterday.
I’m assuming that was for a really clean GNX and not a regular Grand National?
Below the belt, dude.
Do you really want to know? Just remember, that some knowledge will stick with you forever. Even after death.
Actually the joke was in reference to the Pirelli tires fiasco of F1 racing. The picture is an unfortunate/accidental homage from a real ad.
Oh god damn it.
Go to hell.
