always missing the wedding ring...

Yeah, those guys can’t afford Escalades in my neck of the woods. Pretty much the standard Midwest buyers out here. I assume you are either in LA, NYC or Miami if I had to take a guess?

Well I was using the term underwear model loosely. I generally meant “dudes who look like they might come over for dinner and finger your wife, if they thought they could get away with it”.

That’s what the Escalade owners that I know look like. The stodgy balding white guys you might associate with the Escalade are actually buying beige Tahoes. Only semi-rich douchebags and Ladies Who Lunch are buying this.

If I’m reading him correctly the issue isn’t the column shifter concept (which I am also very excited about) but that the shifter itself looks cheap, in this specific instance. For a $100k car you’d expect it to be made out of a higher quality material; this looks like the same shifter that was in my parents’ 1992

Exactly what you said. Column shifters are perfect for trucks. There is ZERO reason to try to force the faux-sporty pretense of a console mounted shifter into a truck—especially a full-sized pickup truck, which could really benefit from having another seat in the middle. And full-sized SUVs typically benefit more from

Actually? I think having an antiqued iron and cherrywood hand drill in place of the shifter would be flipping opulent. What a great idea!

Fact: The McLaren F1 has 50% more seats than the McLaren P1. So with the F1 you can have your wife and your girlfriend with you at the same time, but in the P1 you’d have to choose. Such a rough life.

My daughter will be getting a manual as a first car.. none of her friends will be able to drive it.. so essentially, it will be a non-issue.. I'm half considering getting one with a manual choke as well.. so none of them would be able to start it either even if they could drive stick.

CP, just, mainly because I don't share everyone's diesel fetish.

I'm voting CP just because I don't find these desirable at any price, and certainly not a price that (as we saw earlier in the week) can get us some pretty awesome vehicles.

Live in a place that doesn't inspect, is how.

did someone say boobs?

:D

It was discovered relatively soon after Browne’s letter that the “coarse hairs” growing from the backs and bodies of Languedoc’s children were likely the bristled legs of the sarcoptes scabiei, or itch mites.

Why do these sufferers insist on thinking that the disease is biological and not mental? We have a long way to go towards accepting that mental illness is illness, don’t we?

Do we have to talk about Oldsmobile? It always makes me sad.
