Yes, when I read that those deductions were getting the axe, I was pretty surprised. I bought a few things here and there for my work, but I don’t HAVE to and I did it to make my life easier. You can bet your ass I will not be doing that anymore, but I’m lucky to have that option.

Well, my overall taxes paid for 2018 will end up being very slightly less (as a percentage). For perspective, I made about $5000 more in 2018 than 2017, and I’m paying about the same in taxes as I did in 2017.

Crushed tomatoes are where it’s at for chili unless you specifically desire discernible chunks of tomato. Tomato sauce is too watery, and canned diced tomatoes are watery and with oddly textured tomato chunks.

Thank you, lol.  I had a 72 month loan on a car but was paying enough each month so that it could be payed off in about 4.5 years.  This gave me a ton of breathing room in case of some unforseen emergency.
