Some of these make a great deal of sense.

I actually have doubts as to the interior being all BMW on the production car. I suspect they have their own interior (still likely sharing a few BMW bits to be sure) but it’s not quite finished, so they just put the BMW one in because, well, it’s plug and play for development.

I could definitely see this as a $45k base price car. I really doubt Toyota would price this at $65k. That would be insanity, and I think they’re smart enough to know that.

I think a lot of it has to do with these being about the final generation before everyone started buying trucks for no real good reason. This means that pretty much everyone that owned one rode it hard and put it away wet, so good ones are really hard to find.

My local supermarkets have Caribou coffee.  I highly recommend their Mahogany blend.  It’s a medium-dark, and unlike most other darker roasts from the supermarket it doesn’t taste burnt.  And its aroma is amazing.
