What the fuck? Lobster day? Silly peasant! For us, Lobster Day was every day. On our special day we got two spoonfuls of beluga caviar instead of one. I mean, can you imagine? One spoonful of beluga caviar? The indignity was grave, to be sure.

I played one character—a bounty hunter—for the entirety of the game’s existence. Like I said, if you want to do all that other spreadsheet/scripting stuff, that’s on you, but you most assuredly don’t have to.

Without JtL, the game has no appeal for me. That, like SWG itself, was ahead of its time. You could fly a ship, and have crew walk around inside. It was so freakin amazing! Now, over a decade later, we’re finally going to get something comparable in Star Citizen.

I’m glad you mentioned the NGE, because I think there’s a TON of people who say “CU” but really mean “NGE”. Yes, the CU changed things and introduced problems, but it did actually fix several things that were pretty broken. Pre-CU there were a few professions that were straight up useless, and some others that were

IDK what you’re talking about. SWG was definitely not a grind-fest any more than other MMOs. It was absolutely less as a matter of fact. There were lots of things you could do in that game. Most MMOs are: do quest, get gear, do quest, get gear, do raid, get gear. SWG was: build house, pvp, hunt sissy ass jedi, fly in

Man, I love Mars bars, but I never see them in stores here any more.

Mr. Regular says that the small convex mirrors “don’t work”, but I beg to differ. If you have your mirrors aimed correctly, then they do work very well for lane changing. You have to actually aim them correctly, though.

Forget? A lot of people never knew to begin with.

I was going to say something similar. My Focus ST has better fit and finish than the CLA I sat in the other day. I think the people who buy/lease the lowest-end “luxury” car are really silly badge snobs. Don’t get me wrong, I like Mercedes and BMW and Audi, but if I’m going to get one, I’m going to get the real thing,

I’m not 100% convinced yet. With some minor hosting tweaks, the new (new) Top Gear could surpass the old (new) Top Gear in some respects. I really like Rory Reid, Matt Leblanc, and of course Chris Harris.

Confession: I don’t have a twitter account.

Are you Harry Seldon?

I’m going to be burned as a heretic, but I do not like the sound (or smell) of a burnout. It sounds and smells too much like money burning, to me.

I don’t “think” electric motors are mature technology; I know it. Being a mature technology does not mean it is immune to manufacturing defects or human error during design or implementation.

Intent doesn’t matter if the Brazilian runner crossed into the Americans’ lane when they interfered.

I find it fascinating that so few people really know how electric motors work, even though they’re really old and mature technology. They’re amazingly simple and has only about 1 moving part (or more if you want to get technical and count the bearing elements).

I stopped watching after he pronounced autonomous as ah-toe-NAH-mus. I can’t fucking unhear that.

I agree with you that the big automakers are dragging their feet, and some of the higher-ups may not want to sell electric or hybrids at all, as they already have significant assets invested in ICE drivetrains. That train of thought is going to inevitably change, though, whether it takes executives being fired/dying

I don’t really know what else to tell you. I, too, can pull up wiki entries all day long. It’s a huge leap from lithium ion batteries simply existing to having them be the main fuel storage in one of the most extremely regulated industries in on the planet. Millions and millions and millions go into R&D for these
