What baffles me most is people who get on long plane rides with no means of amusement whatsoever, much less a book. But yes, reading is paradoxically one of the things I do for a living AND the only way to shut my brain down at night.

No it’s not, not for Trump anyway. In his mind this is all just a yuge celebration of him, not the office of the President, not our democracy, not our principles (which he and his ilk have done a damn fine job of stomping on). Him and him alone.
