I voted last week at the town hall. It was quick and easy, although slightly anticlimactic. I knew I wouldn’t have the time to stand in line this morning, and I won’t be home from school before the polls close this evening, so I was very grateful for the opportunity to skip all the anxiety.

I remember reading this profile when it was first published (because I am old) and I was totally in awe. She struck me as a total badass. I say this all the time. Oddly, I am a fan of bluegrass, and the Chicks have a lot of the same elements of bluegrass in their stuff, which is why I like them.
