No. I was disappointed in 2000, and worried about an unqualified goofball making bad decisions.

In my world, it’s straight white men and (a small but completely infuriating group of) sheltered, privileged, straight, white, 20-something women who think that feminism is a bad word and that misogyny isn’t a thing because “women can already do everything men can.”

The Tantrump.

I think that’s just her face.

My sister in law’s first husband was a malignant narcissist, and dealing with him (because they have children together) is sometimes totally overwhelming to her. Despite the fact that they are both remarried, the kids are teenagers, and she has spent a lot of time in therapy learning how to heal from his abuse and how

I voted last week at the town hall. It was quick and easy, although slightly anticlimactic. I knew I wouldn’t have the time to stand in line this morning, and I won’t be home from school before the polls close this evening, so I was very grateful for the opportunity to skip all the anxiety.

I think we’re already in the Upside Down.

It was only clear because I heard about the Icelandic protest, which was essentially the same. Otherwise, I would have no idea.

You guys, I’m going to be sitting in class (Legal Ethics followed by Insurance law) until 9:45pm tomorrow. So, I’ll be drinking coffee to stay awake and sparkling water to stay hydrated. I fully intend to have a browser window open during class so I can watch the returns while trying to look engaged pay attention, but

I remember reading this profile when it was first published (because I am old) and I was totally in awe. She struck me as a total badass. I had great respect for her then, and although her legacy as A.G. has some blemishes, her legacy as a human being, an attorney, and as a pioneer is still inspiring.

I do think that there is a group of people who have the ability to perceive things that others don’t. I think of it as a more highly developed sense of intuition, and I have known people over the years who just seem to know or “get” things that others either don’t, or that other people need to have explained to them.

Nope. I’m on the east coast and have the same experience/impression. At my local store, the staff is friendly but not overly so, and a lot of them have been working there for a long time. The beer/wine guy often asks if he can help me find something if I appear to be especially aimless, and is happy to answer

The whole concept of “mediums” just grosses me out. I believe that there are some people out there who have a more developed sense of intuition than others, but this whole business about “the spirits” actually communicating through them is utter nonsense. If there’s a hell (which I don’t think there is), there is a

Now I’m picturing your puppy wearing Lisa Loeb glasses and it’s making me giggle.

It makes very little difference whether I get 4 hours or 10 hours. I’m going to wake up exhausted no matter what.

Aaah yes! OK. I was missing something! :)

Isn’t the whole reason people own multiple pairs of glasses that they are always misplacing them? Like, if you have a dedicated place to store them, wouldn’t that mean that you don’t need multiple pairs? Am I missing something here?

Right. Her abdomen is literally concave. This is not a look that I, personally, find to be attractive, but I think we can all agree that this is the ultimate standard of beauty in the fashion industry.

Now playing

I say this all the time. Oddly, I am a fan of bluegrass, and the Chicks have a lot of the same elements of bluegrass in their stuff, which is why I like them. I’m a sucker for a fiddle and a banjo, and even more so if they’re being played by a couple of badass women who know what the fuck they’re doing.
