Same.

I saw a fb post last night frothing about this, saying Kaepernick is a hypocrite because he gets paid money to play a game, he doesn’t have a real job like all those soldiers who died for our freedoms.

A year or so ago, a woman was on the phone in the stall next to me, having a regular conversation, and then YELLED AT ME for flushing while she was on the phone.

I actually didn’t have especially huge clots! Nothing bigger than my regular period. I like to think because I lost over a liter of blood during delivery and a piece of my placenta got stuck. Like the gods spared me that particular horror because they put me through hell in a different way. (Though my nurses did warn

I was trying to poop when my water broke - the pain from what I thought was constipation was worse than the contractions. Turns out it was her head, because I didn’t poop during delivery - I literally asked my husband to take a picture of my birth-shit because I knew I wasn’t going to see it, and it felt like it was

Omg you know what else no one tells you? When your water breaks, it just never stops flowing.

Mine was defective, I had it over the weekend and it cried every 5 minutes from Friday afternoon to Monday morning. I literally left it in my basement at night because no one in my house could sleep, and at 3am Saturday morning, my mom was like, “I couldn’t care less if you fail this project I’m exhausted.”

I remember pointing out to my teacher that while I didn’t think a baby was EASIER than the doll, it was a flawed lesson. The keys for our baby (15 years ago) were stuck to our wrist, we couldn’t remove them. No one could help us.

When I got close to my due date, my mom was like, “oh, also, be prepared. You bleed afterwards. For like a few weeks.”

I wouldn’t say I LOVED giving birth, but it wasn’t the worst thing. It was worth it. Labor and delivery aren’t the thing that would give me pause about having more kids.

This is the one time I’m actually genuinely curious what the Duggar think about something.

So I can actually see a difference, but I don’t think a tabloid was deliberately this nuanced:

Hahaha yes. Children are not made to wait until they are old enough to handle it.

My number one pet peeve of non-parents is when they claim that they’ve “basically raised” someone else’s child.

This. My baby is still quite small. Some days she can go a few hours between feedings, other days she wants to eat every 45 minutes. I have no way of knowing until she’s ready to eat again. So I literally could never leave my house for more than 15 minutes if I was trying to schedule my life around her eating.

Yes! Replacing white bread with gluten-free bread won’t make you lose weight, unless there are underlying health issues. Replacing your sandwich and pizza and cake with salad and fruit will help you lose weight. The gluten wasn’t the problem in the second example, you just went on a regular diet.

Congratulations!

When I was in labor (recently), we were asked if we wanted to participate in a study about pushing - for a $50 gift card to Target, I could be randomly assigned to start pushing immediately upon reaching 10 cm, or be assigned to wait one hour before starting to push. Here was the caveat, of course - if I was assigned

This.

So many people told me they could never go gluten-free like me because they like “carbs.”
