I kinda just use the soap till it falls apart and goes down the drain.. I've never actually had to throw it out.

Couldn't you use a standard GPS iphone app though without maps and still get it to lead you back to your original position?

Well we would never have new directors making movies if no one was interested how they are made. Even though I'm not going to be a director, I love seeing how they did it. I can suspend my disbelief during the movie, but afterwards knowing how much work and technology went into making it makes it that much better.
