SUVs, even CUVs are still the main cause of the sales of SUV’s. With everybody else sitting up high (with tinted windows), everybody else wants to sit up high to “feel safe and see better”. Unfortunately, in the end, it’s like when everybody stands up at a stadium to see better, and nobody can see any better than when…

I like cars, too. The problem is Ford doesn’t make good cars, and finally realized they can’t. Why compete in a segment where you can’t win, or worse, you can only sell deeply discounted and incentivized inventory?

They cost more. Or I should say, they cost the normal amount for a car of that size and level of standard features. The only reason they cost more than their sedan and hatchback counterparts is the incentives and discounts placed on those vehicles in order to make them sell. And even that wasn’t working.

I can’t explain why the Chevy has better resale than the Dodge, but the Ford has been continually improving in the last 10 years since the current Ram debuted.

Somewhat related question: Why are used Rams so much cheaper than used Fords and GMs? You can get comparable features and miles for much less money. Is there a reliability thing that I don’t know about?
