Tesla is losing money because it’s turning all it’s investments into R&D and keeping it’s production afloat. Presumably if it can reach a critical mass of sales and they slow down on the R&D, they will become profitable.

Step 1: Disrupt industry
Step 2: ???
Step 3: Profit!
Right because Uber makes any sense at all. Sorry man, I have an MBA, and Uber’s valuation is baffling. People are setting fire to barrels of money in the hope that somehow they will eventually manage to remove the human element (drivers) and build a giant fleet of autonomous cars while also staying ahead of everybody…
There is one key difference between Amazon and Tesla/Uber. While Amazon has always made slim profits, at any given point they could have essentially flipped a switch and made money hand over fist in insane amounts. Tesla/Uber don’t have that liberty to do that, they basically couldn’t do that if they wanted.

The entire concept of “predicted reliability score” is stupid. It is kinda like stereotyping people based on their skin color...
Giving something that hasn’t even been built yet a reliability score is like Hating a movie that hasn’t even been filmed yet. It’s just stupid.
Some cars, yeah. Especially older ones. But even the factory manual in my ’05 Acura says “do not idle the car to warm it up, it is designed to be driven off immediately.”
Warm up for a few minutes? In a modern car? No.
“SF MUNI... better never than late.”
I have been riding Chariot in San Francisco for more than 2 years and I will miss it.
Damn, I’m not sure the airbag does much good when the steering wheel is jammed into your neck when it goes off.
Best way to sabotage is simply to provide their engineering and manufacturing prowess to the counterfeiter.
I have a better idea: send them a copy of the Land Rover quality control manual.
Awe that’s cute, someone hasn’t sat in soul crushing commute traffic...hell, I don’t even use my hands most of time commuting anymore, it’s easier to use my knee (we’re talking 2 - 5 mph bumper to bumper for an hour type commuting not doing 75 mph between points commuting here.)
Similar hatch space? U trollin?
Sorry, William, but unless you require the space this is just not the bar-setter.
Punk.
I think that’s what we saw just now.
