Law of diminishing returns totally applies to studying.

they ditched it in ‘12:

Does NYC not put those huge yellow stickers on your window anymore? I moved away four years ago, but when I left, the punishment for alternate side violators wasn’t just a fine, they also slapped a day-glo yellow sign on your window with industrial adhesive that required an hour with a razor blade and a heat gun to

For fucks sake, get Erik Shilling off this blog.

You cannot possibly really believe The Elder Scrolls or Destiny 2 are part of the general pop culture zeitgeist. Hell, even Disney wasn’t all that interested in Disney Infinity. The only thing even vaguely in the realm of general cultural awareness here is the Joust question, and even for that arcade era of classic

Elder Scrolls, riding ostriches in Joust, and Destiny aren’t basic cultural awareness. Even knowing Bungie made Halo was fairly good.

It’s just as trivial as any other category in Jeopardy, though. If they can study up on 17th century literature, they can study up on video games.

I don’t think cultural awareness requires that you know what The Elder Scrolls is. So many people don’t play games and wouldn’t have any idea.

They were pre-modern-age Ostriches.

I’m drunk and pedantic, so I’m going to argue that, because the mounts in Joust flew, they were in fact ostrich-like creatures, and not actual ostriches.

Am I the only one who noticed that Rolls Royce or Tesla is omitted from the game?

Holy goddamn shit balls, Friday cannot come soon enough. I preordered the ultimate edition of FH4 and I can’t wait. This sounds like it will be even better than FH3 (although I’ll be missing Toyota and Mitsubishi). I’m not a big video gamer. The Horizon series are pretty much the only video games I play, simply

I hate that video has taken over the internet. I much prefer written reviews for everything. They’re so much more efficient than video. At least most sites still post transcripts.

You experience all the seasons in the start of the game. Before you get to the live server, you have to do some number of things in each season. After like 4 hours of play, you’ve run through all the seasons and it puts you into whatever the “live” season is and you’ll play that until it rolls over.

For my #pcmasterrace brothers and sisters in arms, this might be worth the launch price just because it’s optimized at launch (unlike FH3). The ubiquitous i7+1080ti combo has yielded a locked and smooth 60fps at 4K for multiple impartial reviewers. That’s a big deal to me because damn near every PC game that launches

I feel you, but this what I expected. No one at Jalopnik ever does in-depth game reviews beyond “I had fun in my Lancia!” and should they? Idk. I watch most of my game reviews from indie channels or YT’ers that specialize in automotive gaming. Almost no one does long form written game reviews anymore. When I was a

Starting Friday I’m going to be (even more of) a useless human.

Based on how long you’ve waited you could easily get away buying someones used original XB1 that is selling theirs after upgrading to the S or X.

Make the leap but keep it cheap if you have waited this long.  Or wait even longer and pick up one of the 3 options (regular, S or X) on black friday.

I was in the same spot for a while. Forza Horizon 3 was one of the games that made me jump up to the Xbox One finally.

I would.
