Driving a car with a manual steering rack is a lost art, even more so than driving stick. But the Zanardi's steering is among the easiest I've encountered, thanks largely to the car's light weight and small size. Sure, it doesn't move at all unless you're giving it power, but it's really not hard to use at all, even

a supercharger and a VTEC for low speeds and high speeds respectively.

You, sir, don't know how to drive a VTEC. If my car that has roughly the same weight but has half the power is drivable, then 290 horse is definetely drivable.

NSX had the first fully electric power steering (EPS) that actually worked in 1991 NSX w/ the automatic transmission. 1991-1994 NSXs equipped w/ manual transmissions did not have power-assist. Virtually every NSX from 1995-2005 has EPS. Exceptions include Zanardi, Type-S (Japan) and Type-Rs.

Great article. I love the NSX so much, I have two 1991 cars - which to me are the ones to have: manual steering, coupe for rigidity. One has only 14k miles and is completely stock. The other has 91k miles and is being rebuilt from the groundup as we speak. As an owner of a McLaren 12C, I can honestly say that I

It is a real shame that Honda and Acura lost their way. Even if this was a 100% stock NSX it would still be a great car to own/drive/read about.

When released, the NSX made Ferrari crap their pants and feel ashamed of their not so perfect cars. The new one is just another sports car. Good, but nothing special. I think that Ford GT could be a spiritual successor to the old NSX .

Not sure if serious...

it's Asimo :)

If only the article had explicitly spelled out the exact scenario you are complaining about. You know something like:

No, but that would make the best Hellcat bumper sticker ever - "My other car is a Prius"

WAGON FORD FUSION RS

I came to here to say that an AWD Mustang would pretty cool, even if it made the pony purists rage. Throw in a diesel option while they're at it.

It's more advanced than the STI for sure. STI doesn't have rear torque vectoring. Just a standard rear clutch based LSD and a front torsen. The magic is in the center diff which can control fore and aft torque split.

So what cars could we see it on? KA? Fiesta? C Max? S Max? Fusion/Modeo/MKZ? Taurus/MKS? Escape/MKwhatever?

I can't believe that no one has said masturbation.
