Thats because Apple ties their core app updates to the OS updates. Google no longer does this. Its an important omission in the logic of this post and your comment.

The overwhelming majority of Apps in the market work with older versions of the OS.

Im not going to type it out again so here is the flaw in that logic.

Here is what this post fails to mention!

I understand the loss of appeal from a marketing standpoint. However its only a matter of time before this term (fortified glass) becomes part of tech lingo and then the average consumers lingo. At that point the name branding does not matter as much.

Yea the back is glossy plastic (aka soap and butter) so it does scratch pretty easy. Im a pretty big fan of the Incipio Feather case I use with mine. Im glad they went a different route with this Nexus in regards to the back plate.

I get your worries about locally stored stuff, but if it had happened to you today, your pics would be in the Google cloud. I assume you have a G+ account if for any just to use the auto upload of photos and videos to Picasa.

As I stated above, the Nexus S did not use Corning's Gorilla Glass either. The fortified glass that it DOES use works just was well. I have dropped my Nexus S from head height (because the back-plate is made of butter and soap) twice now, there are no scratches and or cracks in the screen. Name brands do not mean

IM surprised you guys didnt jump on this sooner. It was all over the click4cash android sites a few days ago.

By unofficial I mean it has not been merged into the main trunk of CM yet, thats all. Sorry I assume people know these things too often, I should have learned better by now. :ºP

Corn Bread would only be considered healthy in the south...

This is an optional feature for OEMs. Its still the same button's found in older phones as hardware. We could very well see some OEMs go the hardware route, though that would be silly in my opinion.

Well then you should try out MIUI, its launcher is debatable, but the rest of the experience is great. My bet is they will move to 4.0 as well.

Does it really bother you that G+ does not contain your friends pointless posts about the tuna fish sandwich they just made, or the random photo's of them in a drunken stupper, ect...?

Agreed....

"G+ has become almost a meta-blog that covers all the things that interest me."

Then just link your Google Apps account to your standard Google account. Its not that hard to do.

As of right now if you post to the "public" circle, so all of your followers can see your posts, then you are also posting to all of your other "circles" as well.

iPhone glass panels shall forthwith be known as Capuchin Glass!
