Even for a DS game, the poly count is kind of laughable. It would probably not look too bad if they got rid of that outline shader, the lighting, and the physics to improve model quality, animations, and maybe add some particles into the mix.

I see no problem with this. I wouldn't say the handheld is for me though, but I'd let a 3 year old play with this. Don't have to worry about hurting the kids eyes, lack of clamshell design prevents potential breakages, etc.
