No, it's for the color of names appearing above player's heads in multiplayer. Green means friendly, red means enemy. Green and red colorblindness is the most common so having a colorblind option is necessary if anything.

IMO Reach was the best since CE. And i don't like to have ODST taken into account as a "good or bad" halo game because it was a step away from the original formula, thus a far away spinoff.
