I think it's narrow minded to see video game companies as "rivals". Every company focuses on something different, meaning that choosing one over the other is just persona preference, not a "good" or "bad" choice.

I'm pretty sure a video game ratings board isn't going to look through every single word in a word-based video game just to make sure it's appropriate for ages 3 and up.

I hope that's not a screenshot of it at the top. I want it to remain in it's iconic pixely goodness.

You forgot the least dangerous, but most irritating "Deadware". Usually it's a freeware or shareware application that is supposed to have a use or purpose (i.e. a file converter) but does nothing but take up HDD space. I've encountered deadware hundreds of times.
