The most interesting thing to me is the producers and writers learning the skill of which videos are staged.  As weird as it is to see dudes getting hit in the nuts all the time, it must be weirder seeing dudes DELIBERATELY getting hit in the nuts.

I think Dragon Age 2 is disliked partly because it’s so easy to counterfactual what they COULD HAVE done if they’d had time.

I actually legit love it when someone phrases something as a gotcha but then you read it and it makes no sense.

But, in doing this, they’re suggesting that’s a problem: that men pretending to be women in bad faith is a big deal that happens enough to comment on, and that trans activists refuse to let anyone comment on it.  Neither of these things is true.

But the people acting in bad faith with this issue aren’t “men pretending to be women.” They’re assholes on the internet pretending they care about women’s sports because it gives them a chance to take a shot at trans people.

I mean it’s almost like South Park’s desire to Both Sides it has led them to make completely incoherent statements about political issues for decades now.

If you try to do comedy about this issue but do NOT bring up the fact that horrible assholes will feign offense about the sanctity of women’s sports, of all things, because it gives them a convenient reason to attack trans people, then just pack it up and go home; you fail comedy.

53% of white women voted for Trump because they just always vote republican and don’t pay much attention to politics. What on earth were you expecting, to be surprised by a number like that?
