The combat/camera system is gamebreakingly bad. It was improved SLIGHTLY in the 2.0 version, but it’s still unplayable, akin to something you’d find in a no name studio’s PS2 movie tie in title. It’s easily one of the worst 3D fighting systems I’ve ever used, and what makes it even worse, is that Square Enix are

It’s still available on my Ps4 :3

My personal favourite was after the Gamescom incident.

It’s also worth noting that SE have said this was a specific demo made only for the TGS and currently have no plans on putting VR into XIV.

The demo already does a fine job of that.

But that wouldn’t be “exciting” “journalism”

I wasn’t doing it from a “platform war” standpoint. More from a standpoint of “Sony tend to go for the big hollywood unrealistic look”. Fits in perfect with what you mentioned about them though, as I’ve never played them, only seen said scenes.

Reminds me of the story about getting Big Boss’ rock climbing skills accurate at the start of Ground Zeroes. Supposedly they mocapped real, professional climbers on an exact replica of said wall to do it. I think even kotaku had a piece on it at some point, or maybe they had a piece analyzing rock climbing in games?

For years I told myself I’d pick up a 2nd psp to crack it for stuff like that but never got around to it. I’ve played Chrono Cross in full, loved it. Xenogears too. I had an NTSC PS2 for a while (damn old stuff dying!) and played on that but had forgot about LoM back then. Had forgot about it until this thread tbh.

I’d assume it is because of what they’re doing with agito? Wasn’t Agito Plus an enhanced version of agito? With all the “reborn” changes they’re going to be doing to it, this doesn’t surprise me.

That’s handy for US users. I’m from Europe though so I have a retail copy :)

My mind just defaults to 3DS when I think of handheld and made me think it was region locked for some reason. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

Yup, I actually have an imported JP copy of Seiken Densetsu 3, as well as have finished the translated ROM more times than I can count (curse you multiple stories!) I’ve never properly played through Legend of Mana (wasn’t released in Europe, and ps1 emulation is patchy last I tried) but remember liking what I got to

You should probably type out Sword since both games have the same acronym. Sword/Secret. Sword wasn’t bad as a decent fantasy rpg but naturally can’t hold a candle to Secret of Mana (the greatest game ever made imo).

Aren’t we done with the “polish” buzzword fad yet? Annoys the shit outta me. That and stuff “dropping”

nvm
