Most of the game is fun, but it's still an MMO. You'll need gil to get better gear. Plus, there are better ways to get money, but if I'm going to be watching a movie, might as well grind for gil.

Sometimes you would like to watch a movie while mining the same 3 nodes for 2 1/2 hours to get enough money to buy the iLVL 110 gear.

I use the YouTube app daily on my Vita. The PS4 doesn't have the Xbox One's Snap functionality so I use my Vita to watch videos while on FFXIV.

Well that's why I didn't think it was a good idea. I think a week should be a minimum, but the ideal would've been 1 month.

It would've still been fine unless this lasted a full 24 hours...

I have to say, as much as I sometimes hate people in the Duty Roulettes, the Final Fantasy XIV community is amazing. I know this is generally an MMO thing, but based on my other two major MMO experiences (SWTOR and DDO), the Final Fantasy community is so much better.

Yeah, that was pretty much what I was saying. Reach was fun, but in general I couldn't enjoy it thanks to the plotholes. I play games primarily for the story, so I quickly grew to despise it.

PS4 users don't have any gain due to the exclusivity though. It isn't like it's one or the other - it could have come out on other consoles. Sony just paid enough so that it wouldn't.
