Patrick’s spot on here. I test drove both Mazda 3s - the 2.5 didn’t feel noticeably quicker than the 2.0, and they both felt slower than the Civic 1.5. I was also disappointed by the lack of CarPlay/Android Auto in the Mazda. These 2 things are what pushed me to the Civic hatch, and I haven’t regretted it one bit.
