A LOT of places are like that. in fact, almost all are. the government is like that, as well as private companies. either i missed the sarcasm or you need to try a tad more

netflix doesnt connect you to the psn servers, im pretty sure that leads directly to the netflix servers, which arent the target. the initial download of the netflix application could have come from the psn network, but beyond initial connection setups, i doubt the psn actually does any authenticating...perhaps…
