Then people who don’t have children should also get mandatory time off, to be taken for any event they choose. I certainly don’t want to be stuck doing all the work and getting no time off for important things in my life because I don’t have children.

I really almost think that parental leave (both kinds) should just be required. That way there is no pressure to come back quickly or not take advantage of it, and no one looks "better" or "worse" for taking/not taking it. Just give everyone a "Congratulations, we will see you in X amount of time."

I hope someone is keeping track of women murdered by present or former partners the way the Post is tracking deaths by shooting. Would be illuminating to see it all in one place.

I don't think we've jailed rape victims for reporting their rapes, but we have bullied them into saying the rape might have been a dream and then convicted and fined them for filing a false report. Among other things.

Here is what I know, Qatar is an ally of america. We provide them weapons, we have military bases there, we support them. AMERICA ENABLES THIS BULLSHIT. Just like with Saudi Arabia.
