“and that he will “never be his happy go lucky self [sic]” again.”
“and that he will “never be his happy go lucky self [sic]” again.”
We are so overdue for a plague
Brazilian here. Although the article is factually correct, I think it would be useful to expand the information a bit, in order to get more context. Since I already sort of did that with my comment in the article about the Italian woman burnt alive by an ex-boyfriend, here it goes:
This quote has been relevant, here alone at least 6 or 7 times in about as many weeks. So anyone out there who still thinks it’s a misrepresentation is flying in the face of REALITY, not standing up to a bunch of riled up Atwood quoting misandrist alarmists
For the second time this evening:
Cool, so the security guard assaulted himself, the hotel room trashed itself, Winona Ryder misremembered things to Natalie Portman, Kate Moss ripped up photos of herself in a fit of jealousy, all those beers drank themselves and then went on television and drunkenly stumbled through that speech, the car drove itself…
I liked Civil War more than X-Men Apocalypse, but I agree that it was a better flick than everyone is saying. The criticial drubbing is pretty unwarranted in this case. I think Magneto’s arc in this one was actually my favorite of the X-Men films.
Science fiction at its best always pushes the status quo. That’s what makes it, to me, the greatest literary genre. Allowing for infinite possibilities means you can push the envelope in every way possible. And I’m so glad there are people willing to push those envelopes despite so many others entrenched and pushing…
I love it when guys defend other guys by talking about *their* own friendship as evidence for why the guy must not have beaten his female partner. It’s like white guys saying “my white friend has always been great to me, there’s no way he’s racist!!”
The number of Johnny Depp apologists out there is so depressing. I know he’s a lot of women’s Manic Pixie Dream Man Forever, but Jesus. I don’t care if it was alcohol/drug-related and he’s a real nice guy when sober, I don’t care if she “provoked” him, I don’t care if Amber Heard is or isn’t a gold digger, domestic…
My best friend and college roommate for three years is a conservative, and was a member of the college Republicans. He was (and is) an exemplary conservative and one whom I wish the party was full of.
We never exactly know what his powers are (we see him do many things, but it’s always vague), his motivations are almost laughably childish (“I want to rule the world!”)
Favorite strategy for hating and killing all men thread!
I related to more of this than I feel comfortable with, to be honest. These are hard things to admit or say, even to one’s self.
Holy shit holy shit holy shit I’ve been saying for years I want the first shot of Dark Tower to be the horn on his belt signifying that the movie is the next cycle and not a pure adaptation and HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT THE HORN GUYS! THE HORN!
Yeah, I’d echo these sentiments.
Does Mystique do a cover of Karma Chameleon?
I have discussed that with the studio. I actually initially pitched the X-Force and the female.
so do i need to change the quote now?
Glob, she always looks flawless. <3
