The remake of Tactics Ogre is far superior and a more updated game than FFT. If you aren't limited to just a PSP though, I would recommend XCOM. It's the top strategy game on my list and I'm sure many other people's as well.

I've played all the big games this year except AC3 and whatever Wii titles. And I would not consider this game to be GOTY at all. Maybe XCOM or Dishonored, I had an overall better experienc with ME3 and Max Payne as well. Far Cry 3, while a big step up from Far Cry 2 did nothing new.
