Hey, on a related topic - at the Conservative Party convention a couple of days ago they voted to change their party stance to neutral regarding same-sex marriage. The CBC tagline quote was “‘It is a fundamental human right and government does not have a place in your bedroom’ ”.

Here’s what’s interesting to me... I think it CAN be done, but it has to be supported by the public. Or more precisely the public has to have their voices heard.

I assume it's the two people pretty everybody knows are/were gay? Is it really a spoiler if it has been known for 300 years?

—Like I said, she’ll be fine, and he’s nakedly pathetic. No problems there. But watch for this the next time it happens. Be aware of the woman who’s being made into a stepstool for someone’s ego and self-esteem just because she happens to be in the eyeline of someone so desperately fragile.—

That was my first thought...his weird bitterness and fixation on her looks years later smacks of him being inappropriate towards her. I wouldn’t be surprised if she had a friend or assistant always with her so she wasn’t alone.

Random thought that went through my head: What would happen if Johnny Depp were to make a statement defending Keira Knightly (they did make three blockbuster films together after all) Would the media like implode or something? It would be two of the biggest entertainment news stories of the day completely colliding.

He said something about her having an entourage, which everyone else who’s worked with her says she doesn’t.

That “yet” so beautifully encapsulates the condescension men throw at younger women, regardless of their talent and professional background, that it should be framed and put in a museum.

When I read the original post it, the director came across as the Prima Donna in the whole situation.

Yeah, I'm posting this on every Amber Heard update. Deal with it.

If you can’t hear this kind of dog whistle misogyny, maybe you just can’t hear it. Calling a professional actor with 20 years of pretty phenomenal success behind her a ‘supermodel’ is denigrating. It’s denigrating because there is a pervasive sense that some women get jobs just because they are pretty and not because

Purely my own experience, but a couple years ago (probably around the time Begin Again was filming in New York, now that I think about it), someone in a group I was hanging out with knew her, and she joined us for drinks at the bar. She introduced herself, never hogged conversation, and was a pleasant and charming

This guy calling Knightley a ‘supermodel’ is an obvious desperate attempt to professionally belittle an actress who has more experience and power in the industry than he has. It reminds me of a man telling a woman (usually a woman behaving very rationally) to ‘calm down’ or when racists use the word ‘thug’. We all

She’s “not ready” for acting? What the fuck was she doing in Atonement and Pride and Prejudice? Practicing?

I saw that movie in theaters, and it was pretty good, but Kiera was easily the best thing about it. Ruffalo’s awesome too, they had a really great platonic sort of chemistry that’s the main thing that makes the movie work. Levine was fine, but easily the worst actor there (unsurprising since he’s not an actor).

Mark Romanek’s tweet tops all of them but I liked this one too.

Considering that other people who worked with her keep tweeting, “What entourage?” this dude just might want to consider what changed Knightly’s MO on his movie (I’m giving him the immense benefit of the doubt that there was something which could be loosely termed an entourage with her).

I’ve never been a fan of KK (no real justifiable reason) but I’ll always defend her performances. She’s a proper actor with a couple of decades of experience and a load of awards and nominations. To dismiss her as a supermodel, in the same breath a celebrating the ‘proper’ acting of Adam Levine? Yeah dude, your

Interesting that he's got his arm around her shoulders though. He loves Levine but gets touchy-feely with Knightley. Right.
