I don’t even give a shit if it has a platform cousin in the Fusion. This is a Lincoln I actually want. Actually, if I could get even more outlandishness with the Continental, that would even be better.

It’s Italian, so that 70° is definitely in (C)ommunisms, not (F)reedoms. A relatively hot hatch, as far as lightweight, tossable things go.

Agreed. Look at Mini, a huge chunk of their brand is based on gimmicks, and it really works for them.

I continue to be torn on this car and all of current American luxury. The suicide doors are indeed awesome. But the fact that it looks SO similar to the MKZ just bends my mind. 115K for a car that looks exactly like a 35K car, but with cool doors. I’m just not seeing it.

I am 100% about this. I would like to see a little more sidewall on the tires though. If you're going full luxury, embrace the cushy ride. 

I dig it. My prediction: Lincoln will be making a lot of more of these than anticipated. And who know... maybe it will even fund a proper RWD replacement.

Gimmicks are fun. Keeps things interesting and fresh. I think things like this differentiate cars more then performance nowadays. Gives them some character.

Ya know....in the age of Porsche charging $5k for a clock or Ferrari charging $30k for a paint job, I’m gonna let this pass. At least this is cool.
