I would feel a lot better about this if they made vehicle weight a factor as well. If we are going to get into the nitty gritty of taxing people based on how much they use the road, then it should account for the exponential increase in wear applied by heavier vehicles.

Hmmm... White guy?? Black male physician here. I can’t even get the salesman to let me go out to the car myself with the keys even after my credit and income are pulled. I am looking at you Audi Central Houston. A deposit to test drive an Audi. You lost 2 S4 sales to a nice black salesman at Audi West. Also, Fuck

Nobody is stupid enough to spend $90k on the same exact car that’s available for almost $40k less minus some extra leather trim.

Cant wait to drive one of these around dystopia once the guillotines come out

“But Its Interior Looks Worth It”

85K with the build quality of a Jeep? Hard fucking pass

People absolutely love the RAV4 Prime. If they can leverage this to be similar, they’ll do fine.

Just my two cents, I find the primary concern among my peers for not buying a motorcycle is that other motorists scare the shit out of us. The arms race of SUV/CUV purchasing for vehicular safety mixed with the rise of distracted driving and frankly never having free time “just for a ride” has made my risk aversion

2 events in Nebraska.
1) We drove up through Nebraska to South Dakota in summer in a Dodge Caravan. Along the way, the GPS pointed us through the prairie grasslands where it was interesting to see fairly original rolling prairie with the occasional lone homesteader everyday 20-30 miles. Can’t remember the Nebraska

In October I drove from Grand Rapids, MI to Flagstaff, AZ to mountain bike/climb with a friend in a effort to avoid flying. When you look at the miles on the map and think 1,700mi 27hrs yeah that’s a long drive I’ll do it over a day and some change. Got up early Friday morning hit the road by 4am and was doing great

This probably doesn’t relate much, but being of an asian descent, I had some interesting experiences. In eastern KY, I was, very nicely, too, refused service at a diner. And driving through northern Mississippi was, well, actually it was terrifying. After filling up at a gas station, I was chased by three pickups with

Counterpoint: I’m a pinko commie New Yorker who gets an absolute kick out of driving cross-country in any occasion. Yes, people express some opinions I disagree with, but it’s one of the singular pleasures of living in this country to drive coast-to-coast, whether solo or with a buddy. Your mileage does vary based on

Set radio to scan. Watch it scan all the way around and back to a loon reading scripture.

Repairing the damage from that is gonna cost some bucks.

Nice boss move Van Hollen! Johnson has, in this new Senate, shot way past Cruz, Graham, and McConnell as Senator I most want to punch in the nose. He is the worst. This caps off his other BS, including claiming there was no insurrection because there were no weapons! The trump is strong with this sith lord.

Do they discuss how the miles were accumulated?

He’s the stupidest Casper. Surely, Wisconsin is embarrassed by this tool. Hope they vote him out.

Democrats need to get over being afraid of the bully pulpit. Biden ran on Green Lantern Energy with saying “I can do it!” so fucking do it, no one cares about procedure

You’re right that Manchin isn’t Democrats’ problem. He is about as progressive a senator as we could ever hope to get elected in WV. Our problem is that places like FL, PA, OH, and WI keep electing right wingnuts against their own interests and policy beliefs. We should have 57-58 senators and be happy anytime a

Sinema you might be able to strongarm into getting in line since her state’s moved so far to the left in the last 4 years. Manchin’s state is so red that the only reason he’s a Democrat is because he’d get primaried to hell and back as a Republican.
