On my plug in as soon as you press the charge connector “trigger” the current flow stops. Is there a reason that DC chargers don’t act the same way?

Went to Glacier Park a few years ago and was shocked to see cattle crossing or hoofing down the roads all over the place. Guess the ranches are not fenced? Could also be a rude awakening for any 2 or 4 wheeled vehicles.
