Lol, Texan here who immediately thought something similar. That’s definitely a “modest” ranch for Wyoming, and a small property in Texas. (Yes, obvi a very subjective opinion based on lived experience - it’s still a privileged thing to be able to own.)

My husband and I probably sleep in the same bed once a week. We have different schedules (I’m an early bird, he’s a late riser) and he snores. He started sleeping in the guest room this summer after I broke my ankle so I could really rest, and we both found we kinda prefer it that way. Our relationship is as strong as

I choose to take a peaceful, restorative walk through a Buc-ee’s to clear my mind and refuel my soul/tummy.

Freshman year of HS - I’m nerdy, goody-goody dork who is also a tall, gangly Trombone player. In other words, girls’ clothes were not made for me in a way that would conform to our sexist bible belt dress code. I typically wore boy’s cargo shorts and t-shirts, but this is the early 00's and babydoll t’s or spaghetti

You the real MVP. Good friend!

LOL please tell me she is an attorney now.

More than once, myself and several other students were seen flying out of the school in a panic when our local PD announced they were doing a sweep of the parking lot because we’d all forgotten to take rifles, ammo, or other hunting gear out of our vehicles and didn’t want the dogs to signal on our vehicles. I one

Agree - the cop being reasonable and having common sense shouldn’t bring such a huge sigh of relief, but it does, because it definitely could have gone differently.

Ughhhhh all the crybabies that whine about how “not everything has to be about race” every time REI tries to highlight a BIPOC person on their social media.......they’re going to make my go blind because my eyes are going to roll right out of my head.

Agree - thankfully around my area that’s the one vulgar name I could think of. There may be some I’m not aware of, and I’ve no idea when it comes to the many, many climbing routes here. Yesterday I had a great conversation with a male rider I co-moderate a Facebook group with on why it was exhausting and offensive

Immediately where my mind went when reading this. We recently had to rename a trail that was called Rim Job to Rim Loop - immature dudes had named it, and the county wouldn’t allow that to be installed when signs went in (for obvious reasons). And that is a pretty mild example.

That’s my go-to prep method for green beans as well. Butter makes it better!

LOL

Lol, I live on the outskirts of the burbs - the houses here all have 5-10acres so lots of rural landscape and habitat. The new neighbors who moved in across from us were like, “Gosh, I just don’t know what all that howling could be coming from. Do you think it’s dangerous??”

From what I’ve seen of socialite-y-WASP weddings so far around here, including a couple of brides I’m no longer hanging out with, their “coronavirus precautions” literally amount to, “we put a sentence up about it on our website that if you didn’t want to come you didn’t have to,” and “we put a mask on Nana, maybe.”

I mean, I’d be a little salty because it’d sure be nice if that money we paid for our loans could have gone into retirement accounts instead BUT that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t support it. However, I do agree with some other comments that there are probably smarter ways to improve the crisis (capped payments that are

I work with USSS for my job sometimes - No one agent gets assigned one person for life - they work on rotations, and then additional agents are spread across offices in different states for supplemental protection when the protect-ee is traveling. So fortunately no one is stuck forever, but unfortunately, any one of

Gawdddddd I just shivered because that thought made me so happy.

I had this series recorded and just now finally got to finish it and mannnn, Misha Green is so talented, and I 1000% agree with your frustration that she has not received the accolades she deserves. (I am STILL MAD about Underground not getting to continue! That show as awesome!)

In HS and through college I thought I had a brilliant dessert recipe - a S’moradilla! You butter one side of a flour tortilla and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. On the other side? Slather on the chocolate frosting and plunk down some big fat marshmallows! Plop the buttered side down in a heated skillet until the
