Yes. Has everything to do with the "free" nature of the shot and nothing to do with ensuring the "integrity" of its measured distance. No concern about the supposed threat of free throw dunking, which would be less an anti-Wilt Chamberlain rule than an anti-Suns gorilla rule.

Has anyone actually reported that P&P&Z holds up over a cover-to-cover reading? I haven't done more than flip it open to a random page at the bookstore, where it certainly looked well executed (to a very surprising degree) but didn't really convince me that there was much more to it than the bare existence of the

I have met a lot of moms from a wide variety of different backgrounds in my life; and trust me, no matter what hers is: If she is acting all shocked and scandalized over a few naughty words or a bit of sex talk, she is totally going through the motions for your "benefit."

He he. All joking aside, I did order myself a can after you told me about its properties. It'll actually be a fun trip back down memory lane for me, because I visited the hospital quite a bit as a kid; and though mine did not seem to have much else of its act together, it did when it came to the food! I probably

Yep. Those Wembley games (more than one a year now) are actually a permanent fixture, with growing audience response; and the game has been growing hugely at all lower levels too. Again, we are talking about starting from absolutely nothing outside the U.S. (except in American high schools), so I'm not surprised it's

Bah. Not even among no. 1-charting British pop rock bassists. Anyone beholding young Guy Berryman would like a word with you. Or 20-years-later Guy Berryman. I can't fucking tell.

He he. They do seem to enjoy that. But I meant as a participatory sport, which is indeed happening (albeit starting from decades at dead zero, of course).

He was an absurdly brave and accomplished war hero; and indeed his intelligence service included, of all things, counteracting America Firsters in the U.S.

Not the same. A stadium is a mass destination and tourist and municipal attraction, a vital part of the public life of the city (so we are told when they spend our money on it, in any case). Indeed, Barclays Center is a government owned stadium (Citi Field, it turns out, was not leased its station naming rights),

My bad. It's actually named after a healthcare conglomerate, Jefferson. And it's the third one, the former (and perhaps future, come 2019) Market East.

At the risk of indulging in tired national stereotypes, the Brits really do seem to not share our squeamishness about head trauma. They get the same news that we do, but American football is really starting to take off there.

I spent twenty years smugly reminding everyone that Rambo was actually the title of the second movie; and that the third ("Dedicated to the brave mujaheddin fighters in Afghanistan") was an unprincipled switch of naming systems. And then they had to go and ruin it for me with Rambo (2008). I wouldn't feel so betrayed

You named a fucking train station after a bank. That is inexcusable. We did it with the Citi Field and Barclays Center stations, but that of course is because those are named after their proximate landmark/attraction; they are properly geographically informative.

That would indeed be more sophisticated. But, unfortunately, not viable from a process perspective. Fruit, of course, is brewed with wild yeast (that forms that white film on the grape); it's grain that's brewed with added yeast.

I'll drink to that! Pass me a stein of Gertrude, as long as we're on the Nazi apologist menu.

Wound or grinding-wheel?

I highly suggest you not read the preproduction notes for Meet the Durans, specifically the one sequence in which Roberto repeatedly tries to convince Ray to hit him in the face.

As a Superman fan, I'm kind of sad that Senor Duran is remembered more for that one attempt to harness the powers of Ometeotl, then for being the most electrifying, talented, best lightweight villain who ever lived under the Plaza de la Constitucion.

Mmm… institutional thickener…

…she was touching his chest, now…
