For Audi, VIN stands for Vehicles w/ Identical Numbers

Sounds to me like a good way to smuggle stuff into a country in an untraceable manner. If thousands of cars all have the same VIN, tracking that VIN becomes meaningless. You could have anything packed into those cars: Drugs, guns, bodies, Kinder eggs, whatever.
