I think Lil Nas X was going for a bejeweled cat vibe which Karl Lagerfeld was known for so not actually widely off theme
Shit. I probably wouldn’t let my kid play at Klan members houses; and I’m white. Hell, my parents absolutely wouldn’t have let me play at thier houses.
He’s dressed as the cat.
Do younger buyers really want this kind of vehicle, though? I’ve yet to see any correlation beyond “it’s the cheapest thing I can afford.” A CUV is not the cheapest way to make an entry-level vehicle, yet automakers seem hellbent on them anyway, because profit margins.
It’s just crazy to me that $21k makes this not just the cheapest car from Chevy, but one of the cheapest new cars in America. You’ve got the Cheap King Mirage at $17k, the Venue and Soul at almost $20k, and that’s about it.
Nothing says ‘Murrica like made in Korea and China (Buick)
So now that they made this nearly a foot bigger, how long until they come out with another smaller one to ‘fill the gap’?
Actually, it’s a place for all Americans (and quite a few foreigners) to blow some money. You’d be surprised how many people make annual (and even more frequent) trip to Vegas. My parents retired to Vegas and lived there almost 30 years. I visited many times and I loathe that place. If you don’t have money for…
The last F1 race I attended was Long Beach in 1983 (the final year for F1 there). It was very different from what it’s like now for sure. It was a fairly democratic thing that average schmucks could afford. We were just drunken, broke-ass college students and we were still able to drive all the way from Davis, CA to en…
F1's been bad at weather-related scheduling forever. Malaysia in April, Japan in monsoon season, etc. About the only thing they get right consistently is “don’t go to the middle east in the summer.”
I honestly don’t think I’ll ever attend a sporting event in-person ever again - except maybe a baseball game - because the level of investment when it comes to money and attention is so low. It’s just so damn costly and I get to see more of the event on television.
I’d argue the Miami GP is NOT for the typical F1 fan at all. I’m willing to bet Vegas will be the same. It’s a corporate event for VIPs / companies / etc. I consider them the NA version of Monaco.
The NFL isn’t playing in March, which would be a lot better than May.
I find the argument that everyone wanted to be at the Miami race last year pretty specious. Every single piece of information about this race looked to be absolutely awful from the jump. The layout sucks complete ass. Of all the places they could have had this race to actually sell the vistas of Miami and they held it…
After having two bad experience at Indianapolis for the GP, I said if I am going to be overcharged I might as well go to Europe. I had already been to Canada which is quite good.
I said what I did as someone who’s been to Vegas 4 times for vacation.
The main reason F1 is garbage in the U.S. is because the prices to see the race are insane. The Las Vegas grand prix grandstand tickets started at $2,500.
It was cheaper for me to fly to Belgium and get a 3-day pass for the race instead.
Took my first trip to Vegas this past April. It was a convenient airport to fly into with the real objective of the vacation seeing some of the National Parks in the area. We spent a day and a half in Vegas and it was enough. It’s really not for me. Everything was overpriced on the strip. And none of it seemed that…
If this was the experience in Miami just imagine how bad it will be in Vegas, a city that literally only exists to separate visitors from their money.
