I’ve been in Texas for 10 years now. Can confirm that High School football fans are the absolute worst. Do they even watch the games? They’re terrible. I just can’t comprehend the fascination with it.

Not only them. Baylor would do it too.

Can’t wait for all the Penn State fans to turn this season into a deflategate-style “you screwed us and now we’re getting our revenge” tour. Only they would be capable of that spin-job. It’s coming.

Fuck Penn State.

We’ve spotted the fanboy who knows jack shit about mma and the GRACIE family. LOL

McGregor lasted to the 10th because Mayweather wasn’t going to take any chances and McGregor was an unknown quality. He doesn’t punch hard, for a boxer, and had no head movement, and was noticably not in shape to go 12 rounds. So he has no chance to win a fight by KO or decision. He could make one more decent sized

I agree! If McGregor was a more skilled boxer he would’ve won for sure. Especially if Mayweather was worse than him at boxing.

Oh, I don’t disagree, it would obviously be nicer, I just don’t believe it’s realistic.

I agree, but 90% of the time, when you have an elite BJJ fighter facing an elite wrestler in a UFC ring...

If you listened to Mayweather after the fight, it’s clear he carried McGregor. When he apologized for the the Pacquaio fight, that was the nod. He could have ended it much earlier but chose not to.

The problem, I think, is that we are so polar at this point we really need the people to own up to what things are and be deliberate about their actions. Would be so much nicer to hear ”Yeah that was a tradition, but it was also kinda racist and so we decided to cut it out because we’re better than that.”

If McGregor’s respectable showing in this fight means that punches thrown in MMA fights will evolve beyond a bunch of shitty haymakers (along with the occasional spinning backfist), then it’ll be a net positive.

I can’t tell if your comment implies the home field advantage in baseball is just limited to who hits last or not, but I am certain if the series was played in Arlington this week, and the Rangers didn’t give up the series at the end of the season, the Astros would have hit last in this series. In other words, they

“This is fine.”

Better idea:

Is it a real competition or a scripted show? That’s what people mean, when they say ‘not real’.

I’ll assume you’re a more recent fan of European football.

So good he’s already planning his acrimonious departure from Barcelona.

I’ll be honest - I’m pro-mime.
