Frances Eliza, go away with your perfect no makeup skin and eyebrows.
noooooooooooo orange glitter!!!! Use a taupe/cool-toned brown matte bronzer or even an eyeshadow.
Ooh! Use a Q-tip to draw a line down the center of your nose, right above your cupid's bow, and on the tip of your chin!
Devil’s Advocate: what if they stole a quote from Maya and attributed it to a white woman on a stamp?
I’m sorry to hear that. :( I hope things work out for you.
Yes, that was Shirley, apparently. The one who got the dozen red roses that Peggy thought were for her and turned into a tornado of crazed and tactless emotion. Sorry, Shirley. You wore the hell outta that mini.
My favorite was "I'll have your wig ready by Tuesday". Stan is the best.
Their little late night phone conversations when Peggy was working for the other firm were the most adorable
Don't be too sad, here in California everyone makes minimum, there's no tipped minimum. It's up to like $10 everywhere and even more in San Fran (but don't get jealous either, that place is impossibly expensive).
That makes sense, I never thought of it that way!
That's a great point. I would even add another scenario to do what might seem on first blush to overtipping but really isnt. I'm a vegearian, and find that the vegetarian option on many menus is a lot cheaper than anything else on the menu. I figure that the server is doing the same amount of work and I'm taking the…
Agree. I love a good mini skirt, but they're not liberating. Sure you might be able to run to the bus, but when you're sitting on the bus you have to extra mindful to sit with your legs squished tightly together. One false move and you'll give the whole bus an eyeful of your hoo-haa. Or if you walk up stairs with open…
I would not worry about seeming condescending at all. Slightly different circumstances but my first job was at a pizza joint, and when my regulars there would tip me extra around the holidays, I was always thrilled and very grateful. I am sure she appreciates it.
I also don't think Joan dresses provocative at work. She has a large chest but that's nature. I don't ever recall her showing tons of cleavage and she's always behaved quite professional so I'm not sure why Peggy tried shaming her.
Symmetry and cheekbones, always. Hair can't hide that.
If you're worried about functionality you could just wear pants. I have a hard time believing most women wear mini skirts so its easier to catch the bus.
$20 tip on a men's cut at the barber? How much do the cuts cost?!
Old lady here — 56 — and I just cut off 4" because it was getting too damaged, and my hair is still below my shoulders. Long hair is fine if you're older as long as it suits you. I bet yours is gorgeous!
I'm 54 and have curly hair to the middle of my back. I tried a short hair cut years ago, and it made me feel like a guy. Didn't like it. At all.
