These sound various degrees of fascnating, but I’ll admit I was hoping for a review of the folk-horror doc Woodlands Dark and Days Bewitched, which sounds very much up Ms. Katie Rife’s alleyway.

I enjoyed this movie. I guess it was the director’s cut I saw - it moved pretty quickly, and no scene wore out its welcome. The acting can be stilted, but that didn’t bother me. Met Charles Burnett a couple of years ago, and he was a cool guy.

He sure could have. He’d have given me a single solitary reason to care about the royal family, or at least to care about seeing their faces when they heard the news.

The cheap maskiness of many of the creatures always kind of bugged me. Median was like the Star Wars cantina or the Monster Club, or the house in Basket Case 3. It’s a design thing more than a makeup effects resources thing. There always has to be one fucker who looks like Mac Tonight. Why is that?

They remind me of the folks in Basket Case 3.

Yeah, even at 5% it still beats most of my stories.

I was facebook friends with him. Aside from being an excellent actor, he was a true eccentric, dropping startling stories of alien encounters (not the same alien he met in 1979, thank goodness) and the Christ-like powers of revivification apparently possessed by Robert Mitchum.

Someone who would spell colon that way would surely drop a comma too, so your explanation has some merit. I’m not fully convinced, however. I mean, I spent a half hour in that bathroom looking for my colungus! I want closure, dammit!

It’s well worth a look. Great cast, too. R.G. Armstrong actually plays a nice, kindly old guy - that’s how revolutionary this movie is!

I have been reading about these cicadas, and it reminds me that it’s almost time to watch The Beast Within again. This is a springtime tradition for me, the other one being to watch The Fog on the 21st of April.
