But that’s from Dead Man.
But that’s from Dead Man.
These people are crazy. But my question is this: when did the word “ditty” get officially changed to “diddy?” I’ve seen this a lot, but so far always in amateur internet posts.
I managed a couple of them in my early 20s, and they were great, well worth it. I went skydiving back then too and that was fun. But nowadays? Hmm, I’d have to think about it. Skydiving threesome, maybe?
You’re right. I believe it was the voice of the guy from Pinky & the Brain.
I’m going to watch it too, but mainly for this Welles performance that’s “blood-curdlingly bad.” Vincent D’Onofrio could still play 26, couldn’t he? Why not get him?
No, Paul Hogan was in Hud. Paul Reiser is Rocky’s brother-in-law, the guy with the robot.
Ah, I see. Like those synthetic cheese slices, you mean? We don’t call it that in Canada, but then again, we don’t call back bacon “Canadian bacon” either, which I guess is odd.
The heck is American cheese, anyway?
At least Prowse has that deep, resonant voice.
Roger Corman took it a step further with his Frankenstein Unbound. I thought the poster image, which shows a close-up of an eye iris that’s made up of three different ones, blue, green, and hazel, all sewed together, was just meant as a metaphor. But it turned out to be actually how the monster is sewed together, and…
I did. According to the IMDb, she’s done at least three computer voices in sci-fi movies, The Thing, Demolition Man and Judge Dredd, so I asked her about all three. All she said about The Thing was “John must have hired me because he knew my voice,” and she didn’t remember much about the other two.
I believe it! We will make that trip one day, fingers crossed.
Looks okay, but why did they randomly cut in footage from Gravity into this trailer?
Like everyone else who’s replied so far, I also love this movie. Of course I recognize its flaws, the main one being that it doesn’t always make sense. But this is true of many of my favorite movies, so it bothers me not a whit. The atmosphere, the score, the Houseman story (which I can practically recite verbatim),…
But Mad called everybody a hack.
Also a big VHS regular with my friends and I. I still am very fond of it, goofy though it can be.
Sure it does, and thanks for the tip. I’ll give that a try.
Another direct Diabolique, uh, “inspired” story is that fine 80s slasher film The House on Sorority Row.
