You seem to be shrugging off optimization, so how do you explain a console’s ability to look better year after year with the same hardware? My biggest gripe with PC gaming is it’s reliance on the consumer to continually invest to keep up, rather than developers finding new ways to get more out existing hardware.

...and this is why I gave up building PC’s, been burned twice before. That and I can never keep track of which models are better than others. It doesn’t make sense to me that a 780 TI would outperform a 970TI based on naming conventions. I guess i just dont have enough patience for the master race
