@MissMarlo: Another reason is maybe a 500 meg per month limit on most basic plans as opposed to close to unlimited state-side. Kind of reminds me of when dial-up was $25 per month for 5 hours of on-line usage.

@p.prove: In grade 12 physics, I learned there is no such thing as "perfect" in measurement. Every measurement has a degree of uncertainty associated with it. Life has taught me this degree can vary widely and depends on mood and political landscape and amount of tint in rose colored glasses.

@kenboy: My car was recalled by its Japanese manufacturer to fix an issue with the gas pedal. They told me one of the fixes was modifying the program so when the driver steps on brake, the gas cuts off. I thought that was pretty smart. Sort of a "driver" update.

@Kaiser-Machead: CSI can read those. With only a flash light while wearing dark sunglasses.

@pseudorocket: My gas water heater stopped working. There was a blinking light on the box by the controls. The fix? Rebooted it. Unplugged it and plugged it back in. Have had to do that a couple of more times in the past 5 years.

@EljhHck: My Samsung goes brling when I turn it on and says broinglining when I shut if off. So annoying....
