I associate communism with authoritarianism because I was raised on Reagan’s 80's capitalism.

Beth is not real, bro.

calm down, man. It’s a Game Boy, not the remains of the Library of Alexandria.

I’m a bit on the fence about this game (I’m more of a casual fan who’s favorite entry is XY because of that T.rex pokémon), but I’m also in the mood for a big, exploratory game where I could get lost for a couple weeks, so this might be it.

I saw it reported in Ars Technica last(?) week, so keep an eye for it!

yeah, dccorona explained it far better than I actually could, and an early demostration of the complexity of emulating the N64 correctly can be seen in the old Zelda Collector’s Edition disc. OoT runs perfectly, while Majora’s Mask has a lot of issues, and those two games shared assets and an engine.

I’m still sad this was the state of the NSO release, but at least things are improving a little.

the Internet working as intended, I see.

If I found that part boring enough, I’ll miss anything if I skip it?

have you tried muting the color squares themselves? I don’t know it one can.

I walked right into that one.

I’ll risk spoiling myself to block it out immediately, thanks (I will still have the spanish version to solve).

yeah, but remember that owl saves were not permanent (and they forced you to quit the game), so if your battery died in the middle of a session, you could lose a lot of progress.

I do find a little annoying that resetting the clock doesn’t automatically saves anymore (why?), but you are right, he doesn’t seem to be taking into account that the remake is on a portable system, and easy saving spots are a must.

okay, fair enough hahaha. But I’ll say this: if you play the game and notice that the bosses take *forever* to kill, it wasn’t like that in the original.

they ruined the swimming mechanics, changed how the bosses worked for the worst (originally, you could kill them however you wanted, now you have to do the classic “use an item, hit the weak point 3 times, win” formula), shortened the timer and, worst of all, Cremia no longer puts her tits on Link’s face.

actually, the swimming thing is pretty bad. You basically have to waste your magic just to speed up, which wasn’t an issue in the original (and makes the water dungeon more annoying than it should be).

so... can I choose what the VA says? Or just whatever random shit is offered?

they have a Polybius in the back.

why is Kotaku promoting the piracy of McDonald’s intellectual property? Was destroying Metroid not enough? (l0l)
