Must every F’ing post end up having something to do with the election??!!
Must every F’ing post end up having something to do with the election??!!
Take the classic grocery store tantrum for example. Your kid wants to buy candy, but you don’t. If you want to enforce a firm “no,” you may need to carry the kid out, kicking and screaming.
Gee, you’re describing authorative parenting all wrong. Firstly, there are three styles that psychology recognises: authoritarian, permissive, and authorative. Authoritarian and permissive have roughly equally bad outcomes. Authorative has the best outcomes. And it doesn’t mean sometimes being authoritarian and…
This is hilarious. The examples of screaming kids at the market are making me guffaw past my sore throats and sniffles. Punishment is taking them out of the store? REALLY? What do you think they were trying to do in the first place? Kids HATE grocery shopping. I mean, adults don’t really love it either, but we gotta…
Both techniques have a proper place and time, and they do work.
by “the blind eye” you’re talking about yourself right? Sounds like you’re part of the problem there.
While I understand people’s frustration with Trump being elected, they must realize that he won fairly and should be judged going forwards. People wanted a change and that is what they got.
Continue to be try and better person every day. Help all people who need it, treat all people with respect. That’s my plan.
Badly behaved kids are the fault of the parents. We need to be publicly shaming the bad parents.
Do people normally feel the need to talk to their kids abot the presidency? because I’ve never heard that line until this election..
Damn but you liberals are a fucking riot. Panic in the streets. Flee the country. Set up grief counseling. Comfort the children. I freaking love watching ya’ll put yourselves through this! The things you make yourselves believe. BWAHAHAHAHHAHA.!!
Can you guys cool it for a couple days on all of the political articles?
I know that this being Jezebel that I will be raked over the coals but its alright. I have an honest question, do you people really believe that EVERY person who voted for Trump is a violent racist, misogynist, homophobe, rapist? I mean really believe that, if so that is quite sad. I certainly didn’t vote for him,…
Ha! Only a man would recommend this. I probably speak for all women when I say I judge the quality of each day by how long I had to wear a bra. Working-from-home days are the BEST days.
Nah. I’ve worked from home for 8+ years. Comfort >> tricking myself into being productive by wearing khakis.
I work from home and really my main rule is “Don’t drink alcohol.” I may have a beer with lunch, but that’s really it. If you find your job genuinely interesting and engaging you don’t have to trick yourself into doing it.
No. Fuck this. I fought for two telework days a week, so I can literally roll out of bed, sit at my desk, and work without pants.
Yeah like they’ve been bragging that they’re *so above it all* with their “we don’t like republicans/conservatives but we FUCKING DESPISE liberals/democrats.” What kind of bullshit, phony fear/outrage is this?
Lol, no thanks. If you can’t focus enough to work from home and have to play dress up working from home is not for you.
The "social implications" are actually variable dependent on culture. Western etiquette says slurping is bad - and yes, as a result many of us find the sound irritating. But at my friendly neighborhood ramen shop, I'm surrounded by customers happily slurping noodles from their bowls. It's okay as long as everyone else…
